How the published rates work

Every hourly rate on this site comes from the same rate card, and the booking form uses the same figures. The executive sedan is $120 per hour and the luxury SUV is $150 per hour; both of those are all-in, which means gratuity and applicable service and card charges are already included. The Mercedes S-Class starts from $175 per hour and the Mercedes Sprinter from $200 per hour. Those two are starting rates rather than all-in figures, and the booking form confirms your final price, which can vary with taxes, tolls and availability.

Hourly bookings carry a 3-hour minimum, and the time is counted garage to garage: from when the vehicle leaves its base to when it returns. For a Manhattan wedding the positioning time is modest. For a venue in the Hamptons, the Hudson Valley or inland Connecticut, it becomes a real part of the booking, which is why distant weddings are often quoted as full-day assignments.

Point-to-point transfers

Not every trip needs a car on the clock. A single journey from one address to another, such as an airport arrival going to a hotel or one guest heading home after the reception, is quoted as a point-to-point transfer for the exact route. Transfers start from $130 in a sedan and $160 in an SUV, carry no hourly minimum, and the price does not change if the traffic is heavy.

Transfers include a grace period at pickup: typically fifteen minutes at a residence or hotel, and at an airport a longer window measured from actual landing, roughly forty-five minutes for domestic flights and sixty to ninety for international ones. Waiting beyond the grace period is billed at the vehicle’s prorated hourly rate.

Working out the hours for a wedding-day vehicle

Count from the first pickup to the final drop, not from the ceremony to the reception. A couple’s car that collects the bride from a hair appointment at noon and takes the newlyweds to their hotel after a midnight exit is a twelve-hour booking, even though the ceremony and reception fill only six of those hours.

For each vehicle, write down the first pickup time, the last drop time and the positioning time from the garage at each end. Multiply the hours by the hourly rate for that vehicle class. Then look for gaps: if a car is idle for three hours in the middle of the afternoon, compare keeping it on the clock with releasing it and booking a second minimum later. On a tight New York schedule, keeping the same car and the same chauffeur is often both cheaper and safer.

• The couple’s car: hourly for the whole day, from getting ready to the final exit.
• Wedding party and family: hourly for the legs they need, often a Sprinter or a pair of SUVs.
• Guest shuttles: hourly Sprinters running scheduled waves between hotel, ceremony and reception.
• Airport arrivals and departures: usually point-to-point transfers, grouped where landing times allow.

What changes the final total

The hourly rate does not change by borough or by county; what changes is the time. Longer positioning drives, more vehicles, more hours and later finishes all move the total. Tolls on your itinerary, parking where a venue charges for it, and any trip-specific extras are confirmed in the written quote, and S-Class and Sprinter prices are confirmed in the booking form.

When you compare proposals from different companies, make sure each one covers the same scope: the same vehicles, the same billable start and end times, and the same treatment of gratuity, tolls and parking. Two quotes that look far apart are often describing different days.

These are the hourly floors for wedding work. A 3-hour minimum applies to hourly bookings, and the clock is garage to garage, so a long deadhead to a Hamptons or Connecticut venue affects the total even when the on-site portion is short.
